Multiage Group Setting
At Sunnyside School House Peschool children have the benifit of being apart of a family of learners. Children ages 2-5 years share experiences throughout the school day that provide opportunities to learn from each other. Each child is uniquie and works at their own pace without the pressure of keeping up, or being held back by their age. Children are grouped by their own abilities, not by age.
First Year
Children typically enter into Sunnyside School House Preschool between the ages of 2-3. This year is all about empowering your toddler to take their first step in becoming a BIG kid. During their first year at Sunnyside they will learn how to be apart of our school enviroment, make friends and become an awesome preschooler. Sunnyside will provide potty training for children during their first year if they are between the ages of 2-3 for an additional fee.
Second Year
During their second year at Sunnyside School House Preschool, children begin to work on skills that will help them to build fine and gross motor ability, vocabulary, basic concepts of science and nature, creative expression and social/emotional awareness. These are are the essential parts of early childhood development that we teach children in our second year program.
Pre K
Our PreK program is alligned with the CA state standards for education and has been designed to provide children entering Kindergarten the following year with the foundation they will need to succeed in elementary school and beyond. Older children in our program have the additional opportunity to be helpful role models to their younger peers, thus giving them experience of being leaders within the group.
